Macy's wedding offers flowers and fun

A Macy's department store may not be the first location that pops into mind when a couple is thinking about a romantic setting for their wedding, but for Staten Island police officer Moise Naolo and Santina Bowers, nothing else would be quite as fitting, according to The New York Daily News.

Two years ago, the couple met when Bowers, a California native, was visiting Staten Island as a tourist and Naolo approached her. They went on a few dates before Bowers returned to her home state, but the relationship continued.

Last July, Naolo brought Bowers back to the department store where they had first met. He had convinced the department staff to hang a "Will You Marry Me, Santina?" sign out on the window.

Now, surrounded by spring wedding flowers that brought a dash of green to the department store, the couple walked down the aisle for their big day.

This is a particularly romantic occasion to have their big day, because Macy's is hosting its annual flower show, so the natural backdrop of lovely blossoms and fresh flowers were sure to add another element of romance to the unforgettable event.
