Anthony Weiner criticized for buying cheap flowers

Ever since news of his scandal broke, Anthony Weiner hasn't been able to stay out of the headlines. Now it seems that something as simple as buying flowers can draw negative attention to the former representative.

A recent report in The New York Post shows an image of Weiner at a bodega in Queens, New York, where he lives. He is holding two summer flower bouquets which he was allegedly purchasing for his wife, Huma Abedin. The flowers cost around $22.97, according to the news source. The news source speculates that these blossoms were apology flower arrangements for his wife.

"It's ridiculous, and it could make her angrier" Elayne Rapping, a professor of American Studies at SUNY Buffalo, told the news source. "...He could have easily called up a florist and had flowers delivered."
