Teleflora Kicks Off 2007 Make Someone Smile Week® July 22– 28
Florists Nationwide Participate in Annual Community Outreach Program
LOS ANGELES (June 27, 2007) – Teleflora, the world’s leading floral service offering the best choice in floral arrangements and convenient local delivery, announced today its plans for the 2007 Make Someone Smile® Week program, the floral industry’s leading charitable project. Make Someone Smile® Week will enlist thousands of Teleflora member florists nationwide to deliver floral arrangements in the company’s keepsake Be Happy® Mugs to those most in need of a smile - such as hospital patients, nursing home residents and children living in foster-care facilities. This year’s program will run from July 22 through July 28.
Teleflora will donate more than 47,000 keepsake Be Happy® Mugs to its member florists, who work with local wholesalers and growers to secure flower donations. With these donations, thousands of local Teleflora member florists will create cheerful floral arrangements in the Be Happy® Mugs and deliver them to local hospitals, charities and organizations.
Developed by Teleflora in 2000, Make Someone Smile® Week has grown to become one of the floral industry’s most successful cause-related initiatives in North America. Last year’s program spanned 350 cities throughout the United States and Canada, and involved 2,500 florists who donated their time. Teleflora’s program delivered 30,228 floral arrangements to those in need of a smile.

As florists around the country are making deliveries during Make Someone Smile® Week, anyone can also order a smile for someone they love by visiting www.teleflora.com/makesomeonesmile and purchasing a Be Happy® Mug for $46.95. Additionally, Teleflora will contribute 10% of each purchase price starting July 1 through July 28 towards the Fisher House™ Foundation, a private-public partnership that donates "comfort homes" built on the grounds of major military and Veterans Association medical centers, for family members to be close to a loved one hospitalized for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.
