WriteGirl's fifth annual Bold Ink Awards that celebrated eight fearless women writers.
On Wednesday, May 11th, more than 350 guests gathered at the Writers Guild of America Theater in Beverly Hills for WriteGirl's fifth annual Bold Ink Awards that celebrated eight fearless women writers. The night kicked off with a catered hors-d’oeuvres and cocktail and a silent auction, followed by the awards ceremony and a dessert reception.
The fearless women writer honorees were; Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, I Hate Valentine's Day), Sarah Silverman (The Sarah Silverman Program, Bedwetter), Winnie Holzman (Wicked, My So-Called Life) and Savannah Dooley (Huge), Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses) and Kara DioGuardi (Ain’t No Other Man, Walk Away, Undo It). Each honoree received a beautiful hand-presentation bouquet courtesy of Teleflora and local member florist Edelweiss Flower Boutique.
