Every single bouquet our hard-working local florists make is beautifully and professionally hand-arranged. When the florist hand-delivers your bouquet - it makes their day when they see the look of surprise - and joy - on your recipient's face!
Delivery by a Local Florist
It seems so simple, after all why would you want to surprise someone with a florist delivery that came in a box. Had to be unpacked. Arranged. And assembled, before it could be enjoyed. What kind of gift would that be? Yet a surprising number of internet florists handle their orders this way. Our florists can create a variety of floral designs such as wreaths, bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, event, wedding and funeral flowers.
Many floral industry designers are self-taught through books and magazines – some even attending programs at wholesale houses. Teleflora florists are encouraged to keep up with trends and to network with other florists and share best practices. Attending seminars at the Teleflora Education Center they can see and practice new design techniques and mechanics, share sources for exciting new products, learn how others manage technology demands on their shops or even gather practical ideas on how to manage the operations of their shop more successfully.
Florists can become an Accredited Member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD). Membership in AIFD is selective. To be accepted, a candidate must fulfill rigid qualifications and demonstrate advanced professional ability. Applicants must first successfully complete the AIFD PFDE Program and in doing so earn the coveted Certified Floral Designer (CFD) designation.
Once they have earned the CFD, depending upon the level of their PFDE results, applicants may be eligible to be invited to join AIFD in its mission to advance the art of professional floral design through education. Members of the American Institute of Floral Designers are distinguished by the letters "AIFD" used as an addenda to their name. The Teleflora Education Center for Florists is an AIFD Education Partner and a pathway for those florists seeking recognition for their design skills and to gain a fresh perspective on the art and business of flowers.
