While the flowers from this particular florist were large and fresh (and I appreciate that Teleflora lets you choose a preferred florist), this is the second time I've ordered a Teleflora bouquet that didn't meet my vision. In both cases the recipients were naturally gracious and appreciative, but it seems the florists, not having the exact flowers and materials pictured, improvised using what they had on-hand, resulting in a bouquet that was a bit different than expected.

In this case, instead of lush white lilies the florist used calla lilies, and there was no Queen Anne's lace. While the arrangement was fresh and lovely (and the recipient very much loved it), I was disappointed to see that instead of the beautiful Mercury Glass vase, the florist used a generic clear glass vase that was too big and less elegantly proportioned. In fact, the antique-style Mercury Glass vase was one of the main things that attracted me to the arrangement since it matches the recipient's interior design sensibility perfectly. For its part, the clear glass was rather "blah" and comparatively cheap-looking.

I don't want to fault the florist as they were prompt, provided fresh flowers and did a good job with the arrangement, but I find the arbitrary substitution of essential components rather disappointing since it changes the entire look.

This arrangement was exactly what I was searching for, both in content (varieties of flowers) and colors. When it arrived, my mother was thrilled with the fact that it contained one oher her favorites: Hydrangeas. She said that it was fresh looking and lasted throughout the week.
