Although the gerbera was not available, the blooming plant that was substituted was received very well! Apparently it was beautiful and in great condition.

My Mother loved her plant. She was very happy there were a lot of blooms still to bloom. It was perfect for Mothers Day.
Got it wrong but made it mostly right

I ordered a potted Gerbera daisy plant offered as individual items in a bunch of different colors. I ordered orange, because my mother loves orange. She got pink. She HATES pink. The representative I talked to when I called to complain offered to replace the plant with the correct one (which I declined: too much of a pain for the recipient!), gave me a partial rebate, and advised me to order by phone in the future so that I can include instructions NOT to substitute. So, I am now a mostly happy camper (although still, who's ever heard of an orange daisy that isn't orange?).
