Send flowers to support breast cancer research

by webdev

October 06, 2011

October has been given many designations, but one of the most well-known is its name as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Women and men alike are proud to sport a pink ribbon during this time to promote awareness of this disease and raise money for research toward a cure.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women in the United States after skin cancer. While the disease is expected to take the lives of thousands this year, more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors live in the U.S., according to the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month's official website.

There are many organizations working to raise awareness and funds to fight this disease. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is one organization that puts resources toward research and education campaigns.

Whether breast cancer has touched your life or not, Teleflora's Pink Hope and Courage bouquet is a perfect way to support a good cause, as Teleflora donates 15 percent of the purchase price to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This bouquet of roses, lilies and daisies also makes a perfect arrangement of sympathy flowers. Knowing it goes to a good cause will give the recipient strength to carry on.
