January 20, 2011

Whether an avid gardener or just someone who is looking for flower gifts, those hoping for a burst of color during the winter may find some solace in the 19th annual Rhode Island Spring Flower & Garden show, which is taking place from February 24 to 27, according to SouthCoastToday.com.

The event is the largest of its kind in New England, attracting more than 30,000 visitors each year. From jewelry to art to garden tools to flowers, attendees will be able to browse over 200 different market stands.

Those who are just trying to catch a glimpse of a beautiful flower are in luck - there will be more than 5,000 buds on display. There will also be a list of high-profile guests who will give lectures about lifestyle, cooking and gardening.

Children are bound to have a good time, too, as there are activities and games that they can play while parents visit the many flower shops.

There will also be 28 different gardens, designs and displays by the Federation of Garden Clubs, and tutorials on how to grow a personal garden, according to FlowerShow.com.
