Reese Witherspoon gets thank you flowers from PETA

November 10, 2011

Animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) was distraught when actress Reese Witherspoon was photographed carrying a bag made out of python skin. However, PETA soon reconciled with Witherspoon and even sent her thank you flowers when she ditched the bag, CNN reports.

After seeing the photograph, PETA sent the actress a video explaining the cruelty behind snakeskin production, narrated by none other than her "Walk the Line" costar Joaquin Phoenix. Witherspoon was quick to surrender the $3,820 Chloé bag, claiming she had made an honest mistake and did not know the cruelty behind the trade.

PETA reports that they sent Witherspoon flowers to say thank you for her compassion for animals. Flowers are a perfect way to say thank you. You can easily choose and send flowers online to show your appreciation. Choose fall flowers like rust-colors Gerber daisies and burgundy chrysanthemums, or stick with a charming bouquet of yellow roses. Fall sunflowers are another perfect thank you gift. You can even get same day flower delivery for your thank you gift if appreciation is in order today.
