Pink flowers bloom for breast cancer charity

by webdev

October 24, 2011

A display of pink flowers raised more than 500 pounds for breast cancer research and awareness at the Breast Cancer Campaign's Paint the Town Pink event in Berkshire, United Kingdom recently.

The event, held at The Elephant Hotel in Pangbourne, gave local residents a chance to see the royal wedding florists Green Parlour in action. Guests also had the chance to win a specially made pink bouquet that was put together that evening.

The event, called Paint the Town... With Petals, was just one of several Paint the Town Pink events that aim to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Whether using roses, aster flowers or other autumn flowers, you can make your own pink bouquet to recognize breast cancer awareness month. Teleflora has flowering plants and rose bouquets with daisies that show spirit, and 15 percent of the proceeds from the sale go toward the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the U.S. to support their work in researching a cure and treatment for the disease. You can order these lovely arrangements online or send them to a friend.
