The Ogdensburg Garden Club, in Ogdensburg, New York, is about to celebrate its 8th anniversary and will be hosting a poetic garden walk to commemorate the event.

The event is free for the public, and attendees will be able to take in club member's floral arrangements, all of which reflect a theme of poetry, according to the Watertown Daily Times.

"It's just amazing what wonderful, talented, creative people we have in our club," Kathleen R Wade, who is president of the club, told the news source. "I think people will be very surprised at the quality and the caliber of the designs they do."

The event will take place this weekend at the Dobisky Visitor's Center. It is titled Celebrate, Celebrate - From Small Beginnings to Full Blooms. Quotes from poets such as Walt Whitman, Jon Keats and Williams Wordsworth will accompany the bouquets of fresh flowers, the news source reports.

One of William Wordsworth's most famous poems features daffodils in his lyrical verses. According to, there are thousands of varieties of the flower, including Trumpet Daffodils and Poeticus Daffodils.
