More than 7,000 buds at Minnesota flower shows

Even if the weather is a little nippy, there are some sure signs that spring is here and, if one is still having doubts, there's no need to look very far  - a number of flower shows are being launched to celebrate the new season. In Minnesota, two free celebrations are offering visitors the chance to buy flowers and catch a glimpse of a breathtaking 7,000 buds, along with floral replicas, according to

From March 26 through May 1, the Majorie McNeely Conservatory Sunken Garden will host an abundance of fresh daisies, hyacinths, bearded iris, lilies and other blossoms. The show will be at the Cosmo Park Zoo, so visitors are sure to find other sights that will pique their interest as well.

Meanwhile, Macy's will be hosting a similar event with the theme of "Towers of Flowers." Flowers will be creatively sculpted into the shape of skyscrapers and monuments that are sure to wow any visitor.

There will be a number of events and workshops during the show, including the Royal Wedding exhibit, which will teach visitors how to combine fresh spring flowers with modern design ideas so they can celebrate the season at home, according to
