February 14, 2013

Spring is right around the corner...and if you, like many around the nation, are totally over the cold, dark days of winter, the season can't come soon enough. A great way to prepare for the wonders of spring is to spruce up your home's decor using the colors of the upcoming season. Pantone recently released the "it" colors for spring, making it easy to know what hues to choose.

According to the Pantone Color Report, this year you'll need to focus on soft colors like tender shoots green, lemon zest yellow, nectarine orange, emerald green and African violet. These hues will help make any room in your home seem more inviting, without causing a color overload.

You could ease your way into spring by switching out your current throw pillows for options with one or a few of the trendiest hues. Pairing nectarine with dusk blue and tender shoots will help lighten up your home in an instant.

Another great way to infuse life into your home is through flowers. Displaying a gorgeous bouquet like Steal The Show by Teleflora with Roses is sure to improve the mood in your space. The mix of lavender roses and alstroemeria along with freesia and light pink snapdragons is a lovely statement for spring.
