How to spice up your holiday wrapping
by

Some of the best gifts are the homemade ones, but if the recipient prefers something store-bought, you can still give it a hand-done touch with wrapping techniques.
According to Martha Stewart's website, there are many ways to embellish the wrapping on your holiday gifts this year. There are a number of hole punchers that cut out festive shapes such as stars of David, snowflakes or stockings. Glue these to the outside of your package or make them into tags.
While there are hundreds of varieties of wrapping paper available today, never underestimate the personal touch of making your own. Martha Stewart suggests stamping one sheet of paper repeatedly with one rubber stamp for a uniform pattern, or simply accenting the paper with stamp designs once you have wrapped it.
It is also easy to make eco-friendly options into elegant gifts, the website reports. Use old maps, newspapers or grocery bags and embellish them with colored paper, beads, ribbons and other accents for a finished look.
There are also plenty of wonderful presents that don't need wrapping at all. Send
Christmas flowers
such as Teleflora's Holiday Magic bouquet or arrange for a
Christmas gift basket delivery
to show your loved ones you are thinking of them from afar.
