Group gives back to community with flowers

Every Wednesday, 48-year-old Beth Foyle gets together with about 10 other people to create flower bouquets and vases for a program known as Petals With Purpose. She arranges roses, tulips, peonies, lilies and daises and places them in items that would otherwise be thrown away, such as soup cans, according to The Chapel Hill News.
Once complete, each one of these special bouquets will be set up inside soup kitchens to afford the visitors there with beautiful and relaxing decorations. It seems that the effect wears off on the participants in the program as well.
"I like putting the different flower arrangements together," Annie Tane, 26, told the news provider. "It feels good to know that I'm helping out. If I'm stressing out at work I know I can come here and sort of relax. We all work as a team; it's not just one person doing everything."
Zen flowers
can be a great way to instill a sense of calm and relaxation in any home. The benefits of a
zen bouquet
are simple, because sometimes the beauty of the flower can prove to be just the right thing for one who is suffering from stress, according to Technorati.com.
