The nation's most well-known designers are showcasing their Spring fashions in New York this week, and according to ABC, flowers are a popular theme on the runway.

Marc Jacobs, who the source identifies as one of the most influential fashion designers in New York, sent several models onto the stage with bright, bold flowers tucked into their hair.

Floral arrangements were also an inspiration for designer Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Tracy Reese and Jenny Packham.According to the news source, cut flowers are an appropriate theme because the bright colors symbolize the spring season.

As opposed to previous years, this time around the flowers on stage were more neutral in tone and hue, and appeared more realistic than the outrageous flower designs seen on the runway in seasons past.

Some of the flowers on stage were colorful and tropical, however. The source reports that one model donned a top covered in palm-tree beading and bright purple, orange and pink tones.

Those who want to decorate their homes with tropical flower centerpiece can consider ordering a bouquet that includes Amazon lilies, hibiscus and chrysanthemums, according to TheFlowerExpert.
