Flowers are good for the soul

Garden designer Mark Kintzel has been in love with flowers ever since his childhood, when he spent hours picking flowers from meadows and assembling big bouquets, according to USA Today. He has a passion for buds that has followed him all his life and it even shows in his office, where he always has a display of corporate flowers on his desk.

"People will walk in, and no matter how busy they are, they'll stop when they see them, smile and say how good they smell," Kintzel told the news provider. "I know they're good for my soul."

When it comes to contemporary floral arrangements, he enjoys Black-eyed Susans and coneflowers. But even if the buds are slowly dying, he explained to the news provider that they offer colors and textures in every step of their life.

He recommends that those who want to make sure their flowers last as long as possible should mix older ones with new ones.
