Flower towers shown off at Macy's show

Visitors to the annual Macy's 37th annual flower show in New York City are sure to be wowed by this year's theme, which is Towers of Flowers. Experienced florists have used a number of flower types to design renowned skyscrapers, according to NY1.com.

"We are re-envisioning and re-imagining beautiful architecture around the world in flowers. So we have the Eiffel Tower, we have the Manhattan skyline. We also have the great pyramids of Egypt," Macy's spokeswoman Elina Kazan told the news provider.

The flower show boasts more than one million beautiful buds for visitors to glimpse in 11 diverse settings. From lush fresh flowers hailing from the tropics to an expansive cactus garden, there is sure to be something to impress everyone.

A number of Macy's stores in cities across the country host a similar event, which lasts from March 27 to April 10. Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Chicago, Minneapolis and San Francisco are also offering a take on the Towers of Flowers theme, according to Macys.com.

Some exhibits will have guides who can teach visitors about each flower in detail, so that they can take the lessons home with them and maybe incorporate a few of the tricks in their own spring decorating.
