Flower essences with healing powers

Natalia Schotte, founder of Vie de la Rose Flower Essences, sells flower extracts that have healing powers and help people spiritually evolve.

Schotte and her co-founders are survivors of childhood abuse. They grow the flowers in Grand Rapids, Michican. She told MLive.com they started creating the essences because they "wanted to do something to make a difference in the world."

After laying out the best of her garden's blossoms in spring water, Schotte places the plants in the sun, bottles them with brandy and lets them age for a day.

Though their methods are not scientific, the group believes in the flowers' healing powers. "We’ve kind of reached the place where people are disillusioned with traditional solutions or want to complement traditional solutions. Ours do support the fulfillment of the spirit," she told the news source.

Schotte claims every flower has a healing patten. Her 30 types of essences induce qualities and states of being such as generosity, exuberance and spiritual protection.

A study by Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2006 revealed that, when in the presence of fresh flowers, people worry less and are more compassionate and energetic.
