Designers embracing flowers

Receiving
fresh flowers
has been shown to help improve mood and outlook and displaying a floral arrangement in your home or office can instantly add beauty and fragrance to your environment. Now more and more designers are using flowers on everything from dresses to accessories.
Flower patterns are in style this season with bold, bright florals being seen on dresses, blouses, skirts and even shoes.
Celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Rihanna, Reese Witherspoon and Vanessa Hudgens have all been photographed sporting floral patterns in recent weeks and designers such as Chanel, John Galliano, Anna Sui, Oscar de la Renta, Alberta Ferretti, Peter Som, Erdem, Vivienne Westwood, Mui Mui, Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera, Rodarte and Monique Lhuillier heavily featured flowers on their spring 2011 runways, according to NJ.com.
But floral patterns aren't the only way to incorporate a bit of nature into your style. According to the Los Angeles Times, several designers are featuring floral embellishments on shoes, handbags and other accessories - with rosettes, embroidery, appliqué and straw.
"Flowers never go in or out of style. They're a timeless design element," Coach's Jody Kuss told the news provider. "It's a great contrast in textures."
