July 08, 2011

The annual Crestwood Court Flower Show "Summer Daze" in South County, Missouri, will be hosting more than 40 garden clubs. The show begins on July 15 and lasts until the end of the following day, according to the South County Times.

All of the entries from the clubs that are submitted to the show will be judged by a panel of experts in regards to the different designs and quality of the summer flowers. The clubs that enter fit into three different categories in which they are judged - design, horticulture and special exhibits. It is expected that there will be nearly 400 horticulture entries and 48 design ones, according to the media outlet.

"The design [division] shows the work that some of our members do with fresh or dried plant materials, and the horticulture show is what we're all about - growing stuff," Roni Pidgeon, the show's chairman, told the news source.

According to the Halifax Evening Courier, summer is the best season to host flower shows across the globe as blooms are boasting their full potential.
