Autumnal colors will be taking center stage at the Fall Plant and Flower Festival in Florence, South Carolina, reports SCNow.com.

The three-day event will take place at The Pee Dee State Farmers Market. At the event, various vendors will be selling plants that are ideal for Fall gardening, including pansies, snap dragons, mums, vegetables and more.

There will also be several classes throughout the weekend to teach amateur gardeners about topics such as composting and growing herbs and tropical flower arrangements. Those with a home garden can bring in soil samples from their yards to be analyzed by professional gardeners at the event.

"We'll have Master Gardeners giving seminars throughout the weekend that are going to be very informative and interesting," festival coordinator Jackie Moore told the news source. "We've also got a lot of unusual artists and vendors this year. We have copper art and stainless steel and aluminum art. We also have some cactus and other interesting plants."

Cacti are the perfect gifts for amateur gardeners, as they require minimal care. Many of these desert plants also boast colorful flowers, such as barrel cacti, hedgehog cacti and prickly pear cacti, according to GardenGuides.com.
