Celebrities promote flower event

The 17th annual Akron Home & Flower show in Ohio will be taking place from February 25-27. In addition to providing winter-weary visitors with a glance of fresh spring flowers, there will also be celebrities attending the event, according to West Side Leader.

Actor Ed Begley Jr., who stars in the reality show "Living With Ed" on the Planet Green Network, will be speaking about environmental causes and going green. After his lecture, fans will have the chance to meet him and get his autograph.

"People actually lined up to come see him," Carmine Torio, executive director of the Home Builders Association Serving Portage & Summit, told the news source. “With that kind of enthusiasm, we decided we would bring him back again.”

Begley won't be the only star attending the show. Co-host of PBS show "Around The House With Matt and Terry," Matt Fox, will be there to give attendees tips on home improvement and discuss different renovation projects.

Going green will be the message of this upcoming occasion, and this isn't the only flower show trying to promote an eco-conscious lifestyle - the 26th Annual San Francisco Flower & Garden show will feature one seminar entitled "Get Your Green On."
