Celebrate Passover with affordable flowers
by
webdev
April 09, 2012
Easter may be over, but Passover continues until April 14. This eight-day holiday is a celebration of the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt, according to Chabad.org. During Passover, those of the Jewish faith commemorate the event by performing certain rituals including avoiding any foods or drinks that contain leavened grains.
During the first two and last two nights of the holiday, families host Seders - a dinner in which people take part in specific rituals while sharing a meal. The event requires people of faith to eat matzah, which is flat, unleavened bread. People must also eat bitter herbs, to commemorate the bitter end of slavery, and drink four cups of wine or grape juice to represent a royal drink and newfound freedom. The dinner concludes with a family member reciting the Haggadah, which is the liturgy that details the story of the Exodus from Egypt.
This holy holiday is a time to give thanks for freedom and to share the true blessings in life - family and friends. You can make your Passover celebration more festive by purchasing
affordable flowers
like Teleflora's Beautiful in Blue bouquet. This peaceful and gorgeous collection of blue and white flowers is sure to bring color and life to your dining room table. The blue hydrangea, creme roses and white oriental
lilies
come in a stunning cobalt blue glass vase which can be used to showcase other
