A day for workers to show their appreciation and thank their employer for hiring them and teaching them the ropes, mentoring their career and hopefully to thank them for a promotion and/or raise. Send your boss a gift today!
Boss's Day, also known as National Boss Day or Bosses Day falls on October 16th each year, if the holiday falls on a weekend, it is generally celebrated on the working day closest to October 16.
Boss's Week – October 16 – 22
Bosses don't have it easy – they’ve got to make all the hard decisions. A good boss is fair and kind and brings out the best in their direct reports. So why not treat your boss every day during Bosses' Week? Send him/her/them a card, have a lunch in the boss's honor and send your boss flowers in our collectible containers like our Be Happy Mug or fire truck or Ford Truck. These make fun executive desk toys - cool for holding pencils, business cards or other desk essentials.
National Boss Day began in 1958
Patricia Bays Haroski an employee at State Farm Insurance registered the holiday with the United States Chamber of Commerce. She designated October 16 as the special day because it was her father's birthday. Her purpose was to designate a day to show appreciation for her boss and other bosses and to also improve the relationship between employees and supervisors.
